Business Travel Show
EAG is very excited about participating at the 2010 Business Travel Show. As a full-service private aviation company, and operator of one of the region’s largest managed fleets of executive jets, a large proportion of our business is based on business travel.
At the show, we will be focusing on our executive jet charter operations and Lifestyle@Empire (our dedicated, bespoke luxury travel division) which combines our charter service with an online hotel booking service provided by our affiliate Booking.com, which allows private jet charter clients, travelling on business or for leisure, to search and reserve online luxury hotels at preferential rates.
New products
We will be promoting some of our new bespoke travel packages through our Lifestyle@Empire division. We have partnered with some of the world’s leading luxury hotels and will promote jet-inclusive travel packages. Destinations to which we will be operating include the Maldives; Jaipur (India); Mauritius; Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt); and Bali (Indonesia).
Our new affiliation with Booking.com allows private jet charter clients, travelling on business or for leisure, to search and reserve online luxury hotels at preferential rates. Clients logging onto Lifestyle@Empire can now search Booking.com’s database of 78,000 hotels in 76 countries, including independent, luxury boutique properties and international 5-star hotel chains. The service is available in 31 languages.
Booking.com™ is one of the world's leading online hotel reservations agencies by room nights sold, attracting millions of unique visitors each month via the Internet from both leisure and business markets worldwide. More than 115,000 room nights are booked every day through the service.
Market conditions
Our charter operations have performed very well so far this year, with a 10 per cent increase in charter bookings, since the start of the year. In fact, the latter half of 2010 has definitely seen an up-swing in the executive charter market. We have also seen a substantial increase in jet charters for business clients flying into emerging markets such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Industry outlook
The fourth quarter is normally an active executive jet charter period in this region. Given the momentum we have seen develop through the course of 2010 so far, we are confident that
we will continue to see an increase in charter business through the end of the year and into 2011, well ahead of the same period last year. It is very difficult to predict the future in the current global situation but we remain cautiously optimistic about the prospects; Empire Aviation Group’s business model is based on aircraft asset management and this has performed very well, even through recession, with significant year-on-year growth in company revenues and profit; growth in staff numbers (now over 100); and our managed fleet of business jets continues to grow (currently over 20) as more owners entrust their aviation assets to us.
