Exclusive Education Partner and Hosted Buyer Programme sponsors announced by Business Travel Show Middle East 2010

The Business Travel Show Middle East (BTSME) today announced the details of two significant developments for the event, which takes place on October 25th and 26th 2010 at the Madinat Arena.

First, ACTE, the world’s leading executive level global education provider, have been appointed as the ‘Exclusive Education Partner’. Drawing on their experience in the region, ACTE will be presenting a series of keynote sessions, seminars and round tables designed to reflect the needs of the corporate and travel buying community within the Middle East.

Paul Grinnall, Events Director, BTSME commented: ‘When we set about the task of selecting our educational providers, one name was at the top of our list by some margin. ACTE are recognised as being the worldwide authority in education provision for the business travel sector-and that’s who we wanted. Obviously we are delighted that they are now working so closely with the event”.

Monique Swart, Project Manager for ACTE also commented, ‘Whilst ACTE is active in more than 80 countries world-wide, the Middle East is recognized as a strong and growing force for the Business Travel community, and we are pleased to be associated within the event dedicated to this market”. Swart continued, “Our objective has been to produce an educational programme that matches the needs of the business travel buyers, bookers and managers throughout the G.C.C. We’ll be releasing the programme details shortly, and are confident that we have hit this brief’.

In a further development BTSME has announced the main sponsor of their Hosted Buyers Programme as being The Address Hotels + Resorts. Grinnall said today “As we are hosting some of the key buyers in the region, it was important to secure a hotel that has the gravitas and status to match and The Address Hotels + Resorts more than satisfies that requirement”.

Seema Pande, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, The Address Hotels + Resorts commented, “The Address Hotels + Resorts opens its doors to all business and leisure travellers from all corners of the globe. However, for this project we identified the high spending corporate market within the G.C.C. as a core target to complement our marketing programmes and are pleased to be able to host them through BTSME’s hosted programme”.

To qualify as a hosted buyer, individuals will have to meet a few strict criteria. But, if met, the programme offers significant benefits as in addition to staying at some of the renowned properties within The Address Hotels + Resorts portfolio in Dubai there are dedicated networking and educational events planned around their visit to the show.

Centaur Travel Group’s Managing Director, Mike Sherrard, summed up on the day of these announcements, “Our ambition for BTSME 2010 is, and always has been, to provide quality buyers for our exhibiting customers. The Business Travel Show Middle East is the only dedicated event for managers who organise, arrange and buy travel on behalf of their organisation.
